As a passionate and dedicated educational leader, I am committed to fostering a love of learning and promoting academic excellence, social-emotional wellbeing, equity and inclusion in our community. With 20 years of experience in educational administration, I have developed a unique blend of leadership, teaching, and community engagement expertise. As Superintendent of Education, I am proud to lead a team of talented educators and support staff who share my vision for providing high-quality educational opportunities for all students. My goal is to create and sustain a supportive and inclusive learning environment that prepares students for success in all post-secondary pathways—workplace, apprenticeship, college and university. I am a strong advocate for innovative and collaborative learning environments. I believe that every student deserves access to a world-class education, regardless of their race, culture, ethnicity, identity, exceptionality, or circumstance. Differentiated instruction, universal design for learning, culturally responsive and relevant pedagogy, Indigenous Education, and faith development are foundational to best instructional practice and student achievement. Student literacy and numeracy are at the forefront of my decision-making. I am committed to equipping students with the technologies, skills, and experiential learning opportunities that will prepare them for continued success in the 21st Century. As educators, we need to clearly communicate learning objectives, outcomes, and expectations to help students stay focussed and motivated. I am excited to connect with families, fellow educators, community leaders, and all stakeholders who share my passion for education and my commitment to making a positive impact on the lives of our students.
