About Anthony Crage

My best qualities often flow out of from the fact that I'm a complete nerd. I'm someone who tends to become a subject matter expert in the things that spark my interest - and I'm a naturally curious person, so those sparks aren't hard to come by. I started in the Canadian Natural Foods industry as a janitor before working my way up in the industry eventually to a Senior Director title where I oversaw a wonderful team of category managers, buyers, and support over a period of incredible growth. In this time, I was most often recognized for my skills in developing product assortment, in promotions, and especially as someone to call when you have a jam you can't work out on your own. I am uncommonly passionate about local business, the politics around food (and its distribution!), and in finding ways to align my work and personal values together towards greater mutual success. Recently, I've taken some time to dabble outside the industry on personal projects while I focused more on my own health. While I'm still more than happy to consider any short term contract/consultant arrangements where my skills could be applicable, I am primarily looking for full-time employment. I'm happy with the progress I've made with what I've been doing, so I'm now looking out for new challenges and experience accordingly.
