About Anthony Decarlo

I am a Biomedical Engineering student at Case Western Reserve University, concentrating in Mechanics, with a strong passion for medical technology development and innovation. In addition to my engineering background, I am pursuing a Master’s in Business Analytics and Intelligence, which allows me to blend technical expertise with data-driven decision-making to solve complex problems. I am currently gaining hands-on experience as an Engineering Co-Op at Applied Medical Technology, where I work with cross-functional teams to design, prototype, and test medical devices using SolidWorks, 3D printing, and advanced testing equipment (Instron, Keyence). I also serve as Project Lead at HyperCase, a startup incubator at CWRU, where I guide an interdisciplinary team in developing an adjustable abdominal stabilizer for laparoscopic surgeries. This experience combines my engineering and business abilities, as I help drive innovation from concept to prototype. With a strong foundation in engineering, business analytics, and hands-on project leadership, I am eager to contribute to the development of healthcare technologies that improve patient outcomes and drive innovation.
