About Anthony Delgado

I am passionate about the empowerment of myself in the mind, body, and spirit as well as the empowerment of everyone through our civil rights and liberties. I strongly believe that knowledge is power and growth is limitless. Therefore the value that I associate myself most with is life-long learning which I believe will allow me to easily adapt to the ever-changing work place and social life of our times. One day i hope to play an important role in my community of the inner city of Los Angeles to empower the youth and adults with useful knowledge and skills that can be applied to their personal lives in order to encourage more effective and positive alternatives to dealing with the hardships bestowed upon them. I believe that in doing so the result will be a community more willing to interact with one another positively and looking to each other as friends instead of enemies which in turn will slowly begin alleviating social issues of the inner city such as drug use and gang activity. I understand that one can only dream of achieving such progress in this day and age, but I exhuberate much faith in myself and still looks to the civil rights movements of the 60's under the influence of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. as my foundation in values.
