About Anthony Derrick

With over 10 years of experience in strategic communications, media management, and marketing communications, I am a multi-disciplinary professional who can help executives, founders, and leaders tell their stories and shape their visions. I have worked in various sectors and industries, including politics, advocacy, and technology, and have developed a diverse and versatile skill set that allows me to adapt to different audiences, contexts, and challenges. In my role as the Chief of Staff to Councilmember Joy Hollingsworth, I advise the councilmember daily on legislation, community engagement, and the issues facing Seattle and District 3 (Capitol Hill, First Hill, Central District, Eastlake, Montlake, Madison Valley, Madrona, Leschi, and Madison Park). I also worked directly with Seattle department leadership on setting the policy agenda for the Parks, Utilities and Technology Committee, and the Select Committee on the Comprehensive Plan for Seattle's 2050 Comprehensive Plan update.
