Associate Diploma Engineering - Electronics -Technical Officer Telecommunications Advanced Diploma in Business Management Certificate IV Fire Fighting Supervision Certificate IV Training and Assessment Certificate IV Frontline Management Certificate Emergency Communications Centre Operations Anthony was appointed as a Fire Mitigation Officer with the NSW RFS in 2003 - approving Hazard Reduction Certificates, Bushfire Hazard Reduction Plans, Development Applications Approvals -Building in Bushfire Prone Areas and preparing support reports for development applications in regard to bushfire hazards. In 2005 he was promoted to be a RFS Learning & Development Officer within the RFS, looking after the L&D needs of volunteer fire fighters to National Standards. During this period he had stints working as a Community Safety Officer for the RFS, the role that he returned to in December 2015 This role includes Community Engagement and advice to the Community, combined with Hazard Reduction Complaint Assessment, Hazard Reduction Certificates Application Approvals using Guardian, Hazard Reduction Burning Planning and Burn Plans compilation including geo-spacial mapping. He has in excess of 56 years experience in the Rural Fire Service, the last 21 as a District Officer carrying out the application of bushfire mitigation measures and large-scale operational control of bushfires and other Emergencies. He is a training instructor and assessor with the NSW Rural Fire Service Anthony has credentials in Telecommunications Engineering with both Telstra and UWS and has further experience in Approvals to Australian and International Standards for EMC and EMI for electrical and radio equipment and applications including fire protection and detection and EWS systems. All his previous roles, including Wildfire Investigation, assists in forming the backbone of Anthony’s extensive industry background in fire safety and mitigation also provides a further substantial practical background to his current role.
