About Anthony Haskin

I am the lead Vascular Acces Nurse here at my facility and I am currently placing not only PICC's but also CVC's that include IJ, Fem lines, Axillo-Subclavian, Temp Dialysis Catheters, and Tunneled Cathters. I also place Art Lines in the units when needed and assist Cardiologists with Arterial access in the Cardiac Cath Lab. I have been a nurse for 27 years and started placing PICC's in 2002 starting out doing 1 or 2 after my shift which eventualy worked into being a full time Vascular Access position. I received my CVC certification in 2012 and advanced my practic to include all of the above types of catheters and enjoy being able to place the proper catheter to meet the patiens needs without having to refer the patient to a surgeon or IR for more a invasive CVC catheter palcement. I have placed over PICC lines, 500 CVC's, and 200 Art lines. A good majority of my CVC's are Temp Dialysis Catheters which I place either in the Jugular or Femoral Vein.
