About Anthony Hockman

Hello! My name is Anthony and I am currently a graduating senior Aerospace Engineering student at the University of Florida, also pursuing a minor in Computer Information Science and Engineering. Hands-on design work and the forwarding of human spaceflight are two of my greatest passions. While I am still exploring many aspects of aerospace, both propulsion and controls particularly interest me. Outside of class, I enjoy working on design teams and developing my leadership skills. At the beginning of my time at university, I was on the Swamp Launch Rocket Team at UF, helping with rocketry flight dynamics simulation and coding. After taking some time to explore research within the college, I have now joined UF's chapter of AIAA Design Build Fly, where I am able to help with manufacturing and designing a 5-ft wingspan RC plane for competition. Additionally, the Engineering Leadership Circle has helped me to reflect on my own leadership skills while interacting with alumni, guest speakers. and other student engineering leaders.
