About Anthony Hoi

Hi, I am Anthony Hoi and I am based in Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea. Until recently, much of my professional career was built as a Marketing Business Analyst since 2014. I also have experience with admin & clerical work, together with some technical and manufacturing & process experience from my previous employments. My highest degree of education is a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science from PNG Unitech which I completed in 2013. As well as the above, I am a keen hobbyist electronics technician, app (software) developer of Android & PC and enjoy home improvement and handy work in and around my house. Over the years, I have acquired the below skills, knowledge and experience on: Data Analytics Report/Deck Building Database Development Java App Development (Android & PC) DIY Electronics Below are some of the tools I have come to be well versed and skillful with: MS Office > Excel, Word, Powerpoint, Access as well as Visual Basic for Applications (VBA)> More specifically I possess advanced skills in- Excel - Pivot Tables, Lookups (VLookup, HLookup and Index-Match) and a variety of formulas, as well as Macro development and coding with VBA- Powerpoint - Creating animated presentations, with timing and transitions. Structured simple for clarity and understanding- Access - I can develop relational databases complete with tables, queries and views and/or link up with Excel. i.e. Access for data storage and Excel for Reporting Deck. Google Workspace > Sheets, Docs, Slides, Forms, Data Studio > Google Workspace was a major part of my previous job where we utilized Sheets, Docs and Slides a lot, as our primary day to day tool of work. I have also learnt much on how to customise the apps using Java Script in the backend. Java App Development (PC and Android)> Netbeans - I built a fully functional POS System software which I currently have available for sale for mini-marts downscale retailers.(see projects on my LinkedIn profile)> Android Studio - While there exists online app builders, I choose to build apps from scratch with very simplistic UIs. I have built a number of simple Android apps mostly for private/personal usage while I have 2x publicly available on Google Play Store (see projects on my LinkedIn profile).
