About Anthony Hood

As a second-year Economics major at the University of Chicago, I aim to combine my academic pursuits with practical experience. Originally from São Paulo, Brazil, I completed the IB Diploma with a score of 41/45, which laid the foundation for my studies at UChicago. During my first-year summer, I had the opportunity to intern in invest solutions at Vinci Partners, where I applied my academic experience in economics to real-world scenarios. Outside of academics, I am passionate about fly fishing, a sport that takes me to the Amazon twice a year. This pursuit not only allows me to explore unique environments but also challenges me to adapt my skills and techniques to different fish species. Additionally, I enjoy playing tennis and soccer, actively participating in intramural competitions and matches with the university community.
