About Anthony Howard

I'm a driver's training instructor with 15 years of experience in both in class and behind the wheel instruction of teenagers and adults and more for a growing driver's training school. Beginning as part time instructor in 2010, I simply conducted instruction but over time my duties expanded to include managing instructor scheduling for a team of up to 3 and student scheduling as well as coordination of new student orientations and inbound customer care operations, and started full time in 2013. I have also coordinated and performed instruction car fleet maintenance including power train, electrical and suspension component diagnosis and replacement. I assist in the development of an exciting and engaging defensive driving curriculum set. In 2019 I was given the opportunity to take over the driving school location that I was working at and I am now the owner of Driver's Edge Driver Training of Bainbridge Island and Gig Harbor. Before becoming a full time employee with Drive Tech I worked as an inbound customer care representative and first line technical support agent for a national telecommunications client where I was given the opportunity to hone my ability to quickly assess the nature of a great deal of situations and provide prompt and useful feedback. My work with Drive Tech wasn't my first opportunity to advance within a given position. I was able to be a part of the first team of Toll Collectors at the Tacoma Narrows Bridge in 2007 where I was fascinated by the process of collaborating on new policies and standard operating procedures. I was first an indirect hire employee eventually gaining a full time position. In that role I was able to quickly and affably interact with a great number of drivers as they made the way across the Narrows as well as becoming extremely fast at facing, counting and reconciling cash. I'm truly passionate at my work and I never miss an opportunity to learn more, often researching disciplines in related automotive fields.
