About Anthony Linarez

I am an environmental scientist for the state of California in the Department of Water Resources. I work in the tidal marsh habitats of the Sacramento and San-Joaquin Delta addressing invasive plant and animal species and restoration of precious fish habitat. I help assess water quality at our restoration sites and I am a founding member of our water quality program responsible for the deployment and maintenance of our YSI sondes. I am also a contract manager for several interagency contracts with CDFW and coordinate the budgeting and renewal of these contracts into perpetuity. I am working on my drone piloting license and a member of the DWR UAV team to assist with drone imagery projects. I also enjoy mentoring our scientific aid in our unit and helping them gain valuable experience in the field to eventually promote to continue to do great work!
