About Anthony Lopez

Anthony has pursued a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Azusa Pacific University (APU). He has been on the APU Dean’s list since the fall of 2019. He was also admitted into the National Society of Leadership and Success for outstanding academic performance. Anthony has already completed courses in research methods, data analysis, research experience, and field experience. His field experience involved volunteering at a shelter to communicate with about 10 kids who live there and to create rapport with the families. Anthony has experience as a behavior interventionist for kids on the Autism spectrum. With that experience, there has been a deeper understanding of characteristics that must be used when working with people. Anthony has also gained experience on running therapy sessions, collecting data, and making behavioral therapy recommendations to clients on how to manage their conditions. He has been able to learn new skills like creating strategies, forming environmental changes, and determining coping strategies which has been shown to be effective in his work with his clients through the data. Along with that, he has existing knowledge in (1) technology (like SPSS, Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Google Docs),(2) languages (like English, Spanish),(3) and customer service. Anthony’s experience working with people, his expanding knowledge, and his passion to learn new things every day towards the goal of giving back to society, make him a great candidate for the position of a psychologist.
