About Anthony M. Anastasio

With over 15 years of experience in law and public policy, I am passionate about promoting a fair, efficient, and predictable civil justice system. As the President of the New Jersey Civil Justice Institute (NJCJI), I lead a nonpartisan, not-for-profit organization that represents the interests of New Jersey's business community on matters of law and legal policy. I believe that a balanced civil justice system is essential for innovation, economic growth, and job creation. I bring diverse perspectives and experiences to my role, as a former attorney for various industries and sectors. At NJCJI, I engage in strategic advocacy before all branches of government to ensure businesses are treated fairly in the state's civil justice system. I regularly provide testimony to New Jersey's Legislature and oversee NJCJI’s appearances as amicus curiae before the state's courts on issues affecting the business climate and the rule of law. I also oversee the development and implementation of NJCJI's policy agenda, research initiatives, and educational programs. I leverage my skills in public policy, politics, and lobbying to build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including legislators, regulators, media, and members. I am proud of the impact and influence that NJCJI has in shaping the legal landscape and advancing the interests of New Jersey's business community.
