About Anthony M.

As the Head of New Ventures Security Team at Walmart, I lead the cybersecurity efforts for M&A and Divestiture corporate deals and transactions. I also serve as the Lead for Cybersecurity for an increasing portfolio of companies/brands in the Walmart technology ecosystem. In addition, I established the CyberX Venture Studio to commercialize the amazing innovations and intellectual property coming out of our World Class Walmart InfoSec team. Finally, I have to mention that I spent several years as the InfoSec Leader for all of the Walmart International bsuinesses, comprising 20+ markets around the world, with a range of technology environments and business models. In these roles, I have successfully established and managed Privacy and Security Programs for many varying orgs and technology environments within the Walmart technology universe, while ensuring customer experience and customer trust.and balancing privacy and security risks. I also have a strong background in Privacy Law, having served as the Chief Privacy Officer at Gap Inc. for two years. There, I created and implemented a global privacy risk management program, including "Privacy by Design," for the Gap, Inc. global businesses (GAP, OLD NAVY, BANANA REPUBLIC, ATHLETA and others). I hold a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Missouri-Columbia School of Law, with a focus on privacy, data security, and intellectual property. I am passionate about building compliant and defensible programs that meet Legal, Regulatory and Customer Expectations while enabling our Core Businesses to lead the industry and innovate without undue burden.
