About Anthony Mannarino

With a diverse professional background, I have been serving as a Technology Education Teacher since 2013, teaching students about manufacturing, engineering, computer science, environmental sustainability, entrepreneurism, data science, and robotics. My passion for sports led me to take on the role of Varsity Diving Coach in 2014 and Assistant Varsity Track Coach in 2015, contributing to the holistic development of students both inside and outside the classroom.Beyond the school environment, I have acted as a presenter at local and national conferences, including ISTE, TRETC, and FabLearn, I have shared insights, strategies, and innovations in technology, computational thinking, and data science, to help other educators in the field. My commitment to professional development is recognized by my contributions to the South Fayette Summer Institute and the Kentucky Tough as Nails, Nimble Fingers Coding Pathway. Through these initiatives, I have played a key role in enhancing the computational skills and knowledge of educators, administration, and other community figures, furthering the reach and impact of technology education.Engaging in collaborative research, I have been involved in studies with various institutions such as Indiana University (Terracotta Platform), the University of Pittsburgh (Environmental Sustainability), and Pepperdine University (IC4 and ABLE Projects). These research endeavors reflect my dedication to supporting educational advancements and contributing to pedagogy, technology, and sustainability.Continuing my own professional growth has led me to join professional networks including STARTedUp Foundation Fellowship (Entrepreneurism) and Penn State K-12 Sustainability Community of Practice (Environmental Sustainability). In summary, my experiences as a Technology Education Teacher, coach, consultant, conference presenter, and contributor to research studies represent my commitment to education, technology, and the development of individuals within and beyond the classroom.
