I am currently a mechanical engineering student at the University of Florida, set to graduate December 2020. I have had 8 months of experience as an engineering intern at Carlisle IT, a wire manufacturing plant in St. Augustine. I spent my time designing, drafting, and overseeing the manufacturing of small mechanical parts for use in several wire manufacturing processes. I also have interned in Ocala at Townley Engineering, a mining equipment manufacturer. I worked closely with a senior engineer to design and draft a heavy duty valve to be manufactured and tested. My experience within engineering has been all manufacturing and academic, but I am hoping to diversify with at least one more internship before I graduate.
