Major projects involved in include: GAC Implementation Oversaw the implementation of a new granular activated carbon system to the water treatment plant. Programming support was given from an outside contractor. SCADA system virtualization Using a new dedicated computer system, the SCADA system was converted onto virtual machines. In order to ensure a smooth migration, the old and new systems were ran side by side to determine any need for updates. MODBUS Plus to TCPIP migration Planned and coordinated the conversion of the local PLC communication protocol from MODBUS Plus to TCPIP while keeping in mind all considerations to prevent loss of function. Reprogrammed PLC logic, IGS, and the iFix database. Minimized the necessity of contractor assistance, greatly reducing cost from the original estimate.
