About Anthony Morrison

I am a new nursing graduate from American River College and will be attending Sacramento State University in Fall 2024 in order to achieve a Bachelor of Science in Nursing with the expected graduation date to be in Spring 2026. During my time in nursing school, I had the amazing opportunity of being exposed to numerous departments at both Kaiser and Dignity Health locations, such as the Telemetry Unit, Neurological Unit, and General Medical Surgery. Additionally, I was fortunate in being able to complete my preceptorship in the Emergency Room at Kaiser Morse Sacramento where I quickly learned how to maintain composure under a fast-paced and critical environment. I was also exposed to various demographics of the community, so I learned how to provide both safe and effective care to all members of my community which is one aspect of nursing that I greatly value. Along with the wonderful experience I gained during my clinicals, I was also able to provide compassionate care to my patients with whom many would shake my hand at the end of my shift and thank me for being their nurse. It's moments like those which inspired me to become a nurse and leave a positive impact on people during some of the most vulnerable moments in their life.
