About Anthony Portelli

My career history demonstrates that I have worked effectively in a range of organisations covering technology, education, and healthcare. I currently work in the field of business analysis and change management with over 15 years’ experience. Having previously worked in the field of finance for a further 6 years. This has allowed me to develop a wide variety of skills including data and requirements analysis, business and process modelling, and leading a team. Through effective stakeholder management, I am able to communicate with all levels, from senior executives to operational users. I have experience of growing a business analysis team and line managing a significant number of individuals; this includes developing a business analysis framework, taking the lead on operating plans and service development for the Business Analyst team. I have been a mentor on the IIBA mentor programme in 2021 and 2022. As a leader in Business Analysis, I am confident in taking the lead on business change projects and have experience of delivering change initiatives with or without the introduction of new information technology packages. I'm a flexible and adaptable team player, tailoring my approach to suit the business context; using appropriate change management tools to deliver real results measured with improvements in key performance indicators. I am extremely self-motivated and have the ability to work on my own initiative and to undertake new tasks without the need to be constantly directed. I endeavour to achieve in all areas of my life, for example as a member of various sports teams and in the workplace. I will not give up when I find a task particularly challenging. I try to do my best at all times.
