About Anthony Procopio Ross

Writer, editor, educator, and nonprofit site manager with an MFA in Creative Writing and experience across college-level teaching, editorial work, nonprofit arts programming, and grant-funded projects. My practice centers on designing accessible, participatory arts programming that brings writing, publishing, and creative learning into community-based and educational spaces.I’ve secured artist and community arts grants to support collaborative projects like Literary Lens, a zine highlighting Kansas City’s literary community, and have led youth-centered, trauma-informed programming that emphasizes collaboration, mentorship, and creative agency. Across roles, I value partnership, community outreach, and sustainable creative labor, with a commitment to equity, accessibility, and empowering young people and emerging artists through an ethic of care.
