Prior to my time at eDiscoveryAI, for over 15 years, since machine learning and predictive coding first came onto the E-discovery market, I have been at the forefront of using and integrating analytical methods into Document Review. The volume of many large cases today, including Second Requests, make TAR and various learning strategies (TAR 1.0, Continuous Active Learning, Targeted Analytics, etc.) necessary. In addition, using CAL passively on many small reviews can better organize review and decrease costs. Targeted TAR use to analyze reviewer work product and focus Quality Control is also a worthwhile utilization of the technology. I have worked on over a dozen Second Requests over the past two years, and approximately 50 in my career; I know how best to utilize the technology on such projects, the standards the agencies require, and how best to integrate and manage TA within these projects. As someone who has seen the use of this technology develop and evolve over the last decade, I understand the best way to utilize TAR on projects. I've written a book to help others understand the basics of Predictive Coding. I've worked and collaborated with the industry's most established names. I regularly consult for clients with the FTC and DOJ regarding TAR protocols and use on large Second Request projects and have helped establish standards for TAR use.
