About Anthony Richards

I was a member of the 4th Cadet Battalion Royal Welsh Fusiliers for 4 years. My proudest achievement with them was fund raising for the Royal British Legion's Poppy Appeal, and representing the UK's Army Cadet Force at the 90th Anniversary of the Battle of the Somme in France. At Yale College Wrexham/Coleg Iâl Wrecsam I studied Classical Civilisations, Medievil History and Media Studies at A-Level. I undertook an evening class to learn Welsh, and completed an OCN in Black and White Photography. I then proceeded to complete a 2 year Level 3 BTEC National Extended Diploma in Uniformed Public Services which I finished with the grade of Distinction*. I also completed an A-Level equivalent Welsh Baccalaureate titled "Should Firearms be Standard Equipment for all Police Officers?". On 12th July 2016 I graduated from Staffordshire University with a First Class Honours Degree in BSc Policing and Criminal Investigations. During my time at university I was a member of the Forensic and Crime Science (FACS) Society. I also achieved a First in my Word Dissertation entitled: Will Outsourcing Traditional Policing Duties to the Private Sector be Beneficial or Detrimental to the Police Force and the Frontline Service it Provides? Following the completion of my degree I also dedicated an additional 3 months of study to achieve the College of Policing Certificate in Knowledge of Policing (CKP). Upon graduating university I was employed as a Produce/Service Colleague at ASDA Store Ltd from 2016-2022. Alongside this I worked as a Special Constable with Cheshire Constabulary from 2020-2022. From March 2022 to April 2023 I was employed as a Police Constable on Response with North Wales Police. It is a role in which I took great satisfaction and enjoyed very much. In August 2023 I began working as Picker & Packer at Delta Fulfilment, a Fulfilment and Logistics Company. From November 2024 I have taken on a new role with Delta and currently gaining new skills and experiences working as a Team Leader and Trainer.
