About Anthony Scerri

Grade three wastewater operator with the State of Californina and have been a certified operator for five years. I work for the City of Petaluma as a Water Recycling Plant Operator When people ask do I like my job I reply,"I love my career." It is a great career where I get to trouble shoot and solve issues as well as protect public health and the environment. Past employment: After getting my associates degree in wastewater treatment at Santa Rosa Jr. College I got a paid internship at Amy's Kitchen where I took meter reads and worked on their Dissolved Air Flotation (DAF) system. From there I work at City of Santa Rosa in the environment department checking grease traps and sampling industries. While at Santa Rosa I took my grade one wastewater exam which lead me to my next step in my wastewater career was shifting into operation working for free, but gaining educational units and hours at Napa Sanitation as an Operator-in-Training.After Napa I finished up my 1800 hours at Sewer Authority Mid-Coastside in Half Moon Bay CA as an operator-in-training and passed my grade two and three wastewater exams there. There under the supervision of the Chief Plant operator, I help maintain parameters to meet our NPDS permit with the local, State, and Federal regulations. After little over a year at Sewer Authority I was able to land a job in my home town of Petaluma.
