I’m currently enjoying my role as an independent contractor, executive consultant, program manager and subject matter expert directly supporting several US Coast Guard program offices. Alongside the amazing team of professionals at OpEdge solutions we are developing high level change management strategies that continue to modernize the Coast Guards mission support programs. We directly assist the Coast Guard Support Equipment program as it is stood up and begins to deliver support assets to every mission the Coast Guard performs. We are developing policy, training and a support structure to acquire, manage and sustain safe heavy equipment operations fleet-wide. My personal goal is to provide the best operationally relevant advice and experience to the teams I’m engaged with to support policy development, training and field execution of various missions. I’ve dedicated 27 years of my life working within the Coast Guard from the bottom to the top, developing a wide range of skills, solving complex operational program issues while leading diverse teams through challenging and often dangerous situations. I have a passion for anything involving problem solving and teams. I pride myself in being able to bridge the gap between leadership decisions and labor force production. I enjoy integrating operational realities with goals and performance. I’m as confident in a staff meeting as I am at a site meeting. My diverse subject matter expertise and performance history suits a wide range of organizational goals- requirements generation - interface testing and evaluation - project management - policy and doctrine development- operational training - team management - Leadership and Diversity - marine construction - navigation - ship handling - heavy equipment operations - emergency response - safety analysis and mishap investigation.
