About Anthony Smeaton

With over 10 years of executive-level experience in marketing, communications, and stakeholder engagement, I most recently led the communications team at Victorian Managed Insurance Authority (VMIA), the insurer for Victoria's public sector. In this role, my team supported VMIA's business areas to design and implement client and corporate communications that deliver on client experience outcomes and support VMIA's strategy and objectives. As a strategic, creative, and collaborative leader, I have a robust track record of managing teams to deliver high-profile public communications projects on time and to budget, utilising data and insights to monitor and evaluate their effectiveness. I have extensive stakeholder engagement experience, including liaising with the highest levels of leadership, across government and non-profit sectors. I recently completed the MBS Leadership Development Program 2023, a prestigious and selective program that aims to develop the next generation of leaders in Australia.
