About Anthony Starpoli

Anthony A. Starpoli, MD is an industry-leading Gastroenterologist and GERD specialist who is also Board Certified in Obesity Medicine, and his president of Greenwich Village Gastroenterology (GVG). Though specializing in reflux disease offering incisionless surgical anti-reflux procedures such as the EsophyX TIF (Transoral Incisionless Fundoplication), Dr. Starpoli also offers obesity treatments including medical therapy, intragastric balloons, endoscopic sleeve gastroplasty (ESG) and performs incisionless, endoscopic revision for weight regain following gastric bypass failure. A past President of the New York Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (NYSGE), Dr. Starpoli participates in various educational and research activities. He is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine at New York Medical College and is associated with the Kips Bay Endoscopy Center, a state-of-the-art endoscopic facility where most out-patient procedures are performed. Dr. Starpoli is board-certified in Gastroenterology, Internal Medicine and Obesity Medicine. He is affiliated with Lenox Hill Hospital-Northwell Health, Mt. Sinai-Beth Israel Medical Center, and NYU Langone Medical Center. GVG serves the New York metropolitan and surrounding tri-state areas and sees patients from all over the globe.
