About Anthony Staunton

I grew up in my father's butcher business in Timoleague County Cork, and from a young boy got to know the business from production to butchery to selling, working 7 days a week from dawn til dusk. From there I learned what hard work was, how to grow and develop the business and how to work well with both customers and fellow employees. I was proud to take on the role of Managing Director and saw our original business, Staunton & Sons Ltd, grow from a family run butcher to full pig processing production: I was instrumental in opening a production facility in 1996, now called Staunton Foods, from which I moved on in to open up my own businesses in wine distribution and vending and take up roles with other food businesses including Dawn Meats and De Roiste. I love working in sales, business development, branding and more importantly directly with customers, this is where my passion lies, to bring my long history and knowledge of food and food production, to support existing markets and develop new ones in Ireland and the UK.
