Mastering operations and critical functions for NSF's SBE Directorate, fostering a positive work environment. Chief Business Operations for the Social, Behavioral, and Economic Sciences Directorate at the National Science Foundation, manage a wide range of critical functions that ensure the efficient and effective operation of the organization. This includes overseeing all data related to finance, budget, and human capital, as well as managing contracts, employee performance, and training. I also manage email communications, accountability measures, meetings, customer service, public affairs, and employee workspace. With my expertise in operations management, I am dedicated to fostering a collaborative, productive, and positive work environment for all members of the SBE team. Former US Army NCO and Japan resident with unique leadership experience in military and business. US Army Field Artillery non commissioned officer and resident of Japan for over 8 years, I bring a unique perspective to my work in business and management. In Japan I held a variety of roles including International Account Manager for NTT Communications in Tokyo, Sales for American-made Micron Electronics PCs, Manager for English Communication Training Programs for the Japan Air Self Defense Force, and network services for DataCraft Japan. My experience in the military and business has given me a deep appreciation for teamwork, communication, and adaptability, which I bring to every aspect of my work.
