About Anthony Zecca

I have always been a student of leadership and what drives performance. Over my 40+ years of advising hundreds of organizations from start-ups to global enterprises, from professional service firms to manufacturing companies, I was always fascinated to observe great leaders who led their companies to consistent growth and those that seemed to struggle every year. My first mentor constantly reminded me that “great leaders lead, all others manage”. Every business leader today is faced with so many challenges and opportunities that it becomes easy to get stuck in the weeds and lose sight of what matters. Every great business leader understands that part of their growth as a leader is driven by learning from others and getting out of the weeds. Anyone who has led an organization knows that it is lonely at the top when the leader has no one that is independent and unbiased to rely on for feedback and challenge. There is an absolute and direct relationship between how effective an organization's leadership team is and the financial results an organization achieves. In too many organizations, the future vision is simply a vision based on what is versus what can be. It is based on history and not a transformative vision of what is possible. My experience working with leaders of organizations from small start-ups to global enterprises has proven over and over that to drive an prganization's performance, leaders need to drive their leadership team's performance with the entire team focused on and motivated by a future vision and strategy that is transformative and not just more of the same. azecca1@edgegpp.com
