About Antoine Moitessier

I am pursuing a Ph.D. in Chemistry at McGill University, where my research focuses on nucleic acids, particularly riboswitches. This work is situated within the context of drug discovery, as riboswitches hold strong potential as antibiotic targets. I am also a Scientist I at Molecular Forecaster Inc.(MFI), where I focus on the development and integration of computational tools for drug discovery, particularly those leveraging machine learning (ML) and physics-based methods. My work includes building and deploying ML models, molecular modeling workflows, and structure-based design strategies to support different aspects of the drug discovery pipeline. I hold an M.Sc. in Cheminformatics from the University of Strasbourg, where my end-of-studies internship thesis focused on the development of a scaffold hopping deep learning model for small molecule design. Prior to that, I completed an Honours B.Sc. in Pharmacology & Therapeutics at McGill University. I’ve gained diverse research experience through academic and industrial roles, including projects involving docking, antibody engineering, and aptamer optimization.
