About Antoinette A.

As a civil engineering student, the wider picture, objective and impact of projects had always interested me. This pushed me to pursue my master's degree in project management where the impacts of pre-planning, planning, administrating, controlling and managing teams while presenting yourself as a leader are felt through project outcomes. My master's thesis focused on developing a framework for master planning at the country level while testing the impacts of such plans at the economic levels. My uprising as a team leader started with leading my school teams' projects to my university teams' projects, to leading civil engineering activities executed by CEE students at the ASCE-AUB students chapter, then to becoming the first Student Committee Leader of the Equity/Title IX office at AUB where I lead 4 subcommittees of over 100 students in raising awareness on matters of sexual harassment and discriminatory harassment. My team leading skills further improved as I became a member of the RE-MED project co-funded by the ENI CBC Med Program where I lead the execution and management of many work packages necessary for the completion of the project. As my project and time management, communication and planning skills improve with my leadership skills and as the projects I partake in increase in size, I am ready to take on the management and administration of new, larger scope projects in the field of my studies.
