About Anton Katz

I am a corporate-commercial / commercial litigation lawyer practising in Toronto, having been called to the Bar in 1996. As a corporate-commercial lawyer, I assist clients with incorporating their businesses, shareholders’ agreements, asset purchase agreements, share purchase agreements, review of commercial leases and other commercial matters. As a commercial litigation lawyer, I assist with collections, shareholders’ disputes, commercial lease disputes and other contract disputes. I have a passion for what I do, and strive to assist small businesses with their challenges and opportunities. My focus is on providing cost-effective, timely and practical legal solutions to my clients' diverse needs. I endeavour to communicate in a simple, straight-forward manner and to remain personable in my approach. I have built and sustained a solid network of lawyers, accountants and other professionals. I frequently reach out to them to gain greater perspective. I am actively involved with the legal profession, having served on the Ontario Bar Association (OBA) Council from 2012 to 2018 and 2023 to the present, and as a Trustee of the OBA Foundation from 2014 to 2019 and 2023 to the present. I am a mentor for both the OBA and the Law Society of Upper Canada and have tutored Bar Admission Course students. I am currently on the Executive of the OBA Business Law and Sole, Small Firm and General Practice sections. I am a member of a local Business Network International (BNI) chapter where I fill the category of corporate lawyer. I volunteer in the community, and am on the Board of Directors of Beit Rayim synagogue and volunteer with Ve'ahavta on a van feeding the homeless.
