With over 30 years of experience in education, I am passionate about creating meaningful, student-centred learning that prepares young people for success both inside and outside the classroom. My teaching philosophy is grounded in the belief that every learner deserves to be seen, valued, and supported across all dimensions of their well-being—emotional, social, spiritual, physical, and intellectual.I currently teach English and Social Sciences at Nelson College for Girls, as well as tutor at Boost Your Learning, where I work closely with students to build confidence, strengthen core skills, and develop a love for learning.Throughout my career, I have taught a wide range of subjects including English, History, Geography, Social Studies, Business, Legal Studies, Outdoor Education, and Careers, while also holding leadership roles such as Acting Head of the Social Sciences Department and Specialist Classroom Teacher.I am known for being organised, adaptable, and approachable, with a strong focus on building positive relationships and fostering inclusive, culturally responsive classrooms.
