About Antonio Alba

After dealing with IT solutions in several companies from 1987 to 1995, I decided to make a deep change in my scope of work. So I joined ADP and had several trainings about Labor and Social Security regulations, and technical ADP Payroll Engine O.S. and ADP Technical Development Environment. I managed Payroll Implementation Projects to several customers, e.g. T.N.T Express Worldwide, American Express, Santos Logistic, etc. In November I joined General Electric as one step forward in my career, in the Corporate Shared Services center as payroll administrator. In 2004 I was promoted to Spain Payroll Leader, managing 8 team members, covering all Payroll, Benefits and HR Operations for all GE businesses in Spain and Portugal, implementing new processes and metrics, partnering through best practices sharing, delivering service to ~4k employees through 35 Collective Bargain Agreements in 27 different legal entities. I have participated in lot of projects (local, regional EU and worldwide), for achieving lot of important goals and clear objectives, regarding payroll and benefits harmonization, processes standardization and productivity through simplification (several input/output interfaces with the payroll engine coordinated through multi-cultural teams. So I would resume this -18 years- great experience at GE with maybe 3 main thoughts: I learned to be more inclusive and external focused, empowering my team members. I learned to use more imagination and courage to achieve objectives, while keeping resiliance. I learned to be a clear thinker and a better communicator to different stakeholders.
