About Antonio Alonso

From 2012 to present works at U-TAD University as a professor of Art Direction & Publicity Communication / Digital Design Degree. Currently as a full time professor of Previsualization and Camera Planning / Animation Degree (English, Spanish and Online), Previsualization and 3D Photography Direction, Projects 1 & 2 / Special Effects Degree and also Introduction to 3D Maya in the Layout and Previsualization Master at U-TAD. He has recently worked as 3D Director and Animator for Real Federación de Motociclismo de España Centenary event at Palacio de Cibeles, as a Motiongrapher for Drag Race Season II Antena 3 TV program and as as a Golaem Crowd TD at Skydance Animation. From 2017 to 2020 worked as Design Manager at VIACOM SWEMEA cluster (South & Western Europe, Middle East & Africa) At Telson's 3D Departement as a Maya 3D Senior Artist and Golaem Crowd TD: H&S Griezmann, Buffon Advertising campaigns. 2017 As a professor at Universidad Rey Juan Carlos, Madrid /"Global Television Management" Master. March-April 2016 Head of Graphics at CANAL+ Spain (National Design Award 2003) and Cuatro Tv (1990-2004) Multiawarded senior motion graphics designer and director (New York Festivals, Bda, Aepd, Laus.) Head of Design at CUATRO Tv channel (2004-2011) His animation shortfilm "Ode to Poe" was selected in 56 MOSTRA OF VENICE and many other international film festivals: BBC Int. Film fest (GB), Ottawa Int. Animation fest (Canada), Black Maria (USA), Cartagena de Indias (Colombia), Oslo (Norway), Goteborg (Sweden), Ars Electronica (Austria), Darklight (Ireland), Alcalá de Henares (Spain), Ourense (Spain) winning Jury's Special Mention at Cartagena de Indias festival and Best Direction at Black Maria Film fest He directed and wrote the screenplay for the TV documentary C+D(esign) that won the Silver Medal / Best Program in Arts at the New York Festival 2005. Started his career in 1985 at the Art Direction department of The Stock Market Photo Agency, New York (USA). Back to Spain he worked as an Electronic Graphic designer in Television de Galicia as a foundation member later becoming also a foundation member of CANAL+ spanish private TV in 1990. Has been Jury at NATIONAL DESIGN AWARDS 2004 (Barcelona) and LAUS 2009 (Barcelona). Conferences: C+D(esign) the construction of Canal+ Brand / Instituto Europeo di Design 2007 (Barcelona)."Design as Tv eye candy" BROADCAT 2006 (Barcelona). Has also worked in Art Direction for clients like IBERDROLA, LWM & H and El Barrio.
