About Antonio Capaldo

I am Chair of Strategic Innovation at the "Federico II" University of Naples, Department of Economics, Management, Institutions. I also teach Strategy at the Luiss Business School, Rome and at Altems-CUSH (Catholic University of the Sacred Heart), Rome. I have been included among the Top-cited Scientists and in the Top 1% of Scientists worldwide, across all knowledge areas, according to a study conducted at Stanford University. I am a former Assist Professor and Assoc Professor of Strategic Management at CUSH, where I also held a courtesy appointment as Professor of Strategic Innovation Management. I am the Editor of Advances in Strategy and Organization (McGraw-Hill, 2012), and I have published three books and around 50 articles in authoritative academic journals such as Strategic Management Journal, Journal of Management, International Journal of Production Economics, Business Strategy and the Environment, Industrial Marketing Management, Supply Chain Management, Technology Analysis and Strategic Management, and European Management Review. My 2007 SMJ article has been awarded by Clarivate Analytics the “Highly Cited Paper” Award in 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, and 2018. My 2017 JOM paper received the Award in 2017 and 2018. I teach Strategic Management, Innovation Management, and Strategic Networks to multiple undergraduate, postgraduate, Ph.D, and executive audiences, at several Universities and Business Schools. I regularly present my research at the Conferences of major Academic Associations, e.g, AOM, SMS, EURAM, Egos, Druid. I have been involved, also as Principal Investigator, in numerous Research Programs founded by the Italian Ministry of University and Scientific Research and the Italian National Research Council (CNR). I have served as Track Chair and Session Chair in a number of Intl. Conferences e.g, SMS, EURAM, Design Management Institute, and as a reviewer for several academic journals, e.g, Academy of Management Journal, Strategic Management Journal, Journal of Management Studies, Journal of Operations Management, Organization Studies, Strategic Organization, Research Policy. I am a member of the Editorial Board of the Journal of Management Studies, of the Advisory Board of Global Community (Oxford Univ. Press), and of the Scientific Committee of ICRIM (Intl. Center for Research in Intl. Management @ CUSH). Finally, I sit on the Board of Directors of “Fondazione Nuovo Millennio” (Rome) and of reputable Italian companies, among which "Feudi di San Gregorio SpA", a worldwide renowned Italian wine producer.
