For over 30 years, my practice has focused on prosecuting, defending and finding creative solutions to complex civil, business and employment litigation matters, in federal and state courts, as well as in mediation and arbitration. Clients I have served on the plaintiff's side of cases have recovered over $90 million. Clients I have served on the defense side have avoided millions in potential liability I advise individuals and companies on business disputes, employment laws, covenants not to compete, trade secrets, fiduciary duties, injuries and wrongful death, trust, estate and probate disputes, contracts, corporate law, real estate, intellectual property, civil rights and government investigations. I am a Certified Mediator available to parties throughout the United States. I have served as a Special Assistant Attorney General on behalf of an Illinois Governor and the Illinois Dept. of Human Services, as special outside counsel to the Illinois State Board of Education, and as counsel to a receiver in an SEC action involving a Ponzi scheme. Through the years, I have served clients in many industry settings, including, but not limited to, health care, technology, communications, media, financial, education, real estate, security, media, transportation, engineering, design, retail, restaurants, distribution, manufacturing, construction, management firms, consulting firms, not for profits, religious organizations, as well as foreign and domestic government entities and officials. For many years, I served clients as a partner in the litigation group of one of Chicago's largest law firms.
