About Antonio Jefferson

I was born and raised in the wonderful San Francisco Bay Area as a very social person. The fact that I grew up with my identical twin brother 100% contributed to that as people would always get us confused, so his friends were also mine. I was known as the patient and "nice" twin. After graduating high school in 2012, I studied liberal studies at the College of San Mateo to become an elementary school teacher due to my soft skills and care for childhood education. Unfortunately, due to financial and personal reasons, I dropped out in 2014 with only about 6 units left to receive my associate's degree. This is when I made the switch to the customer service industry as a server and bartender. I picked up some amazing skills during this time such as working with a team, time management, and social skills all under stress and the pressure to keep my guests happy. However, it wasn't enough to keep me happy. After taking care of my grandmother during the pandemic (2020-2021) I decided it was time for a career change and attended Actualize Coding Bootcamp in 2022. I was using computers before my 2nd birthday, so it made the most sense. It was overwhelming at first, and it still is, but that's the point! I love the challenge! Knowing that there is a solution out there and having that "aha!" moment is the dopamine rush that was missing for me. I am on the hunt for a company where I can bring technical value as well as my soft skills and passion for improving!
