About Antonio Reck
I am a PhD candidate in the Behavioral Neuroscience program at the University of Connecticut. My current position in the Kinsey lab makes use of behavioral pharmacology to determine the analgesic utility of cannabinoids and opioids in various pain and pruritus models. I earned my Master's from UConn with my thesis investigating the antipruritic effects of multiple cannabinoids in two models of pruritus - or itching. For my Ph.D. dissertation, I aim to understand the role of a specific regulator protein in the development of chronic neuropathic pain and provide insight into its physiological mechanism.
