About Antonio Sciarappa

Currently working as a Senior HPC Specialist at Leonardo, in charge of the HPC/Cloud Research Unit at Leonardo Labs (Genova, Italy), devoted to modernizing and parallelizing proprietary simulation codes (OpenMP, MPI, CUDA, OpenACC) and developing AI solutions for industrial problems. Previously working as a Researcher in Industrial and Applied Mathematics at SISSA MathLab (Trieste, Italy), collaborating with various companies to promote innovation through Machine and Deep Learning techniques. I recently obtained a Master in High Performance Computing at SISSA-ICTP (Trieste, Italy), a one-year program about cluster environments, programming languages, parallel programming, machine/deep learning, numerical analysis and more. Before this Master I worked at KIAS/KAIST (Seoul, South Korea) as a researcher in Theoretical and Mathematical Physics studying problems in String Theory, classical/quantum Integrable Systems, topological invariants and non-linear differential equations. I received my PhD in Theoretical Particle Physics from SISSA in 2015 after finishing my Bachelor and Master studies in Turin.
