About Antonio Stempel

With over 20 years of experience in seismic exploration, I have had the opportunity to work in both highly technical roles as well as operational, managerial and director roles. I developed as a geophysicist working in technical projects, covering almost all aspects of data processing and acquisition of seismic exploration data, but my curiosity in the “bigger picture” pushed me towards the managerial path. It is in this path where I have been able to grow further by putting together the technical details with my critical more strategic thinking. Working across the world has given me the chance to develop a close understanding of what it is to be part of multicultural teams, helping me develop some of my soft skills, key for obtaining results in the multiple complex projects I have worked on. Shifting between the field and office worlds helped me gain perspective of how even the smallest decision can have significant consequences in quality, safety or economic results, which is why I consider extremely important to invest time in thinking through our plans and strategies, in the longer run, it pays off. I enjoy working in diverse teams made up of professionals with multiple backgrounds, the team work and the capacity to get the best out of people always helps me go the extra mile regardless of the situation.
