Responsible for the implementation of technology and software within the Corporation, analyzing its needs and recommend possible upgrades, ensuring continuous delivery of IT services, monitoring of IT systems performance, as well as the security of the corporation's network and electronic documents. Lead IT strategic and operational planning to achieve corporation goals by fostering innovation, prioritizing IT initiatives, and coordinating the evaluation, deployment, and management of current and future IT systems across the corporation. Identify opportunities for the appropriate and cost-effective investment of financial resources in IT systems and resources, including staffing, sourcing, purchasing, and in-house development, coordinating and consulting with shareholders to define business and systems requirements for new technology implementations. Define and communicate plans, policies, and standards for the corporation for acquiring, implementing, and operating IT systems, approving, prioritizing, and controlling projects as they relate to the selection, acquisition, development, and installation of major information systems. Manage crisis situations, which may involve complex technical hardware or software problems, evaluate equipment, software and processes, recommending changes and solutions as appropriate, supervise their installation to accomplish the corporation's business objectives. Develop and implement a customer service platform to serve the corporation in every aspect, designing, establishing, and maintaining a network infrastructure for local and wide area connectivity and remote access. Compile and review records to determine department productivity, quality of output and cost of service, will develop methods to continually improve results, and will create a cost-benefit analysis as well as supporting a detailed definition of data requirements and departmental workflows. Keep current with trends and issues in the IT industry, including current technologies and prices. Develop computer information resources, providing for data security and control, strategic computing, and disaster recovery. Maintain security of all data proprietary to the corporation and provide the complete backup of all computer systems in case of system failure or disaster. Write department annual budgets and administer funds according to budget approval. Evaluate the organization's technology use and needs and recommend improvements, such as hardware and software upgrades.
