About Antonio Vaquer

I’m currently the BIM Lead for Dewan Architects+Engineers in Ras Al-Khaimah, UAE. My main focus is the Wynn Resort project, a 70-story tower, five-star hotel with a casino and resort. I have over 25 years of experience in construction, with 17 years focused on BIM. I’ve worked on residential projects as well as high-rise towers and complex modular housing and hotel developments in Spain, the UK, UAE, and Saudi Arabia. I’ve personally set up BIM systems from scratch at three different companies, and in one of those roles, I led a team of 15 people from different disciplines. Some of the major projects I’ve managed include the NE02 Wembley Park development, which had a podium plus four towers (485 units), and the Timberyard project with an 18-story tower (150 units). I’ve also managed projects for oil and worker accommodation camps (500 and 450 units), and modular housing projects with units. My approach to BIM has helped streamline projects, reduce clashes and conflicts, and minimize delays.
