About Antony Bartolomucci

I am a computer science student currently pursuing a work-study program at Passbolt, where I have been able to develop my skills in PHP using the CakePHP framework, Node.js, and React. I have also gained proficiency in various Linux distributions such as Debian, Ubuntu, RedHat, Fedora, and others, which has introduced me to SELinux and containerization with Docker. I plan to expand my knowledge in Kubernetes as well. As much as possible, I strive to use open-source software in my daily life and give back to the programming community. Generally, all the web applications I try to build are open-source or are destined to become so, as this is my way of giving back to the community that has given me so much. PHP was the first programming language I learned, making it my "heart" language. As someone who needs to understand everything in vanilla before diving into a framework, I first learned PHP and created my own MVC framework with a handmade ORM, autoload, etc. Later, I began learning Symfony, but Laravel caught my attention the most due to its elegant and simple code. However, this does not mean I am limited to this language. I have recently started exploring JavaScript technologies such as Nest.js and Express.js for API creation, as well as frontend development with Vue 3 and React. I love algorithms, backend development, and everything related to security and databases. In my first year of study, I focused mainly on backend skills, doing little frontend work beyond HTML, CSS, and vanilla JavaScript. Recently, I have become more interested in frontend development and am transitioning towards full-stack in order to maintain my current backend skills while improving my frontend abilities. My goal is to provide dynamic, clean, modern solutions with excellent code quality. In all my projects, I prioritize application security to ensure the safety of user and contributor data. As this is a vast field, I continually learn and improve in this area. Before programming, I developed a wide range of skills in video editing and 3D modeling from a young age, bringing more than fifteen years of experience in video editing to the table. In conclusion, I am eager to diversify and learn more advanced programming languages that would potentially enable me to design games. To that end, I am currently learning C++.
