About Antun Subara

With 7+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical and bioprocessing industries, I’ve built deep expertise in GMP-compliant manufacturing, production, and downstream bioprocess operations. Beginning my career in assembly and production, I quickly advanced into leadership roles such as Line Lead by demonstrating a passion for process improvement, quality, and team development. I am currently a Senior Downstream Bioprocess Associate at MSD Biotech Dublin, where I support critical downstream operations, including running the buffer area to prepare buffers and media for production needs, post-viral and aseptic filling, and chromatography column packing (ProA, CEX, AEX). My hands-on experience also spans UFDF, formulation, filling station set-ups to bio bags and other essential bioprocess stages. I am proficient in operating and troubleshooting key systems such as MES, DeltaV, SoloVPE, Unicorn, partswasher and performing essential offline activities such as pH and conductivity standardization, osmolality checks and column packing preparation. I hold a Certificate in Science in Biopharma Processing from the Institute of Technology Sligo and a background in mechanical engineering. My strengths include time management, cross-functional collaboration, process optimization and mentoring colleagues on best practices.
