About Anu Korukonda

I am a Neuroscience PhD Candidate at Emory University, researching the early stages of Alzheimer's disease, particularly focusing on noradrenergic mechanisms using advanced genetic and proteomic methodologies. With the support of the NIH National Research Service Award, I am making strides in understanding neuropsychiatric symptoms and their underlying biology. My role extends to developing cutting-edge omics-based tools, aimed at elucidating the impact of tau pathology on the mouse locus coeruleus. Our research contributes to a broader goal: advancing the field of neurodegenerative diseases and informing potential therapeutic strategies. Having augmented my expertise with an internship at Eisai US, where I supported biomarker strategy for neurology assets, my career horizon is set towards leveraging this rich experience in healthcare consulting, with a steadfast commitment to transforming patient outcomes.
