I have experience in manufacturing quality, process improvements, planning and project management with a Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering. My attention to detail, optimism and untiring drive for improvement are cornerstones in day to day. I have worked in heavy machinery, automotive parts as well as non-metallic fabrication industries and thus, understand the varied new challenges faced in manufacturing on a daily basis and am passionate about finding the root cause of these issues. I thoroughly enjoy being on my toes and finding optimized working solutions to feasibly achieve deadlines. In my past position as a Plant Engineer at PSC Industries Inc, I was responsible for driving continuous improvement activities, liaising with customers and suppliers on various fronts, support and perform NPI activities, operational changes, training documentation and support, supervisory support as needed. Some of my noteworthy accomplishments include:* Saving worth material and labour on parts with avg. MRP less than a cent by eliminating waste * Developing tools to simplify and - 1) decrease overall cycle time and production order planning time by avg. 6 mins 2) increase material order cycle frequency from 2 times/ week to daily and reduce material shortage consequences * Increasing productivity at a high volume bottleneck line by 3% using lean six sigma (DMAIC) principles In my non-working time I enjoy reading, watercolour painting, hiking and volunteering for causes like sustainability, education and other social causes.
