As an expert in building clients’ direct equity portfolios, I have an eye for spotting high-quality businesses that will continue to deliver profits. Also, a wonderful company for me is one whose intrinsic value is self-evident and one which I can fully comprehend. To hone my professional skills, I have completed certifications from AMFI and IRDA, in addition to, an Executive Course in Portfolio and Investment Management from IIM Bangalore. Also, I have pursued Bachelors and Masters’ degrees in Commerce. I commenced my career (and still continue my professional journey) with Kotak Mahindra Group. Here, I have progressed from grassroots level to become an integral member of Kotak Securities’ leadership team. My ability to analyse clients’ (HNIs, large business houses, and seasoned professionals) needs and structure their investment portfolios; manage/mitigate investment portfolio risks; and apprise clients on fair prices of wonderful companies helped me achieve several successes throughout my tenure. Currently, I am a Vice President of Kotak Securities’ Private Client Group, where, I lead a team for managing direct equity portfolios for company’s two business units i.e. Kotak Wealth and Kotak International. Key highlights in this role include growing the business’ topline and creating structures for deals. When I am not busy creating/preserving clients’ wealth, I enjoy playing and travelling to play golf. Golf not only helps me improve my focus, but also, teaches me the importance of commitment.
