About Anusree Dey

Hi, I am Anusree (she/her). Professionally, I am a Therapist (under supervision) and an Assistant Professor of Psychology with a Master’s in Psychology from Banaras Hindu University. Personally, I am someone who is curious about the complexities of the human condition.(Side note: I savor all forms of art and have a knack for travelling!) As a therapist, my work is based on creating safety and letting it guide the therapeutic process. I use an integrative approach and prioritize the therapeutic relationship, authenticity, accurate empathy, and feedback. I am comfortable helping clients navigate through stress, emotional dysregulation, anxiety, depression, gender and sexuality, interpersonal relationships, life transitions, body image, self-esteem, anger, guilt & shame. I am working towards building my niche in helping women (and those who identify as women) caught up in the cycle of "I am not good enough", reassert themselves into the world. As an Assistant Professor, I enjoy engaging with my students and cherish the connections I develop with them! I teach papers like Social, Cognitive, Developmental, Community, and Personality psychology to undergraduate and postgraduate students along with taking care of several administrative work as the Undergraduate Batch Coordinator and LMS coordinator at the Department of Psychology, NSHM Knowledge Campus, Durgapur.
